Mickey Mouse

  1. Mick·ey Mouse

     /ˌmikē ˈmous/

    1. A Walt Disney cartoon character who first appeared as Mortimer Mouse in 1927, becoming Mickey in 1928. During the 1930s, he became established as the central Disney character

Just recently, some precious friends of mine had their first child, Samuel. He is a beautiful and much loved little boy.

Well, you all know what I do to celebrate an event. I have to create something. (or two :) And when I have a theme, there is no stopping me.

Mickey Mouse is the theme of his nursery, so my mind went on overdrive. Of course, I had to make a scrapbook to hold all the thousands of pictures of this loved little boy.
I made sure there was plenty of room for pictures, places for journaling and pockets with nooks and crannies to hold memorabilia.

Each page is attached to a paper bag which creates an extra large space to hold a
tag for photos.

I found Mickey Mouse bandaids which I just "had" to add in a bag and labelled it "ouch."
Other pages were added to hold photos and pockets to hold "extras."
Our women's bible study threw her a shower and I made a couple of things to help decorate. I made a banner that spelled out his name that they can also hang in his nursery.
My husband even helped and made these little tags. We placed them at each seat and each lady wrote a prayer for the new baby and his parents.

I made some thank you notes for mommy to use for all her wonderful shower gifts.
This little clip board was a cinch to make. Just added paper and stickers to an art board, added a clip and cut some Mickey Mouse ears to write the gift list on.
There were so many people who prayed and loved this little boy before he was ever born. I can't wait to watch him grow up.
